Terms of service

Last updated: October 9, 2026

These terms cover your use of easymarkdown (easymarkdown.io). By paying for or using the service you agree to them. Questions: hello@easymarkdown.io.

The service

easymarkdown stores, edits and versions your Markdown documents in a web workspace and through a REST API. The free editor at /editor needs no account and keeps your text in your browser.

Your account and subscription

Refunds

If you're unhappy, email hello@easymarkdown.io within 14 days of a charge and we'll refund it, no questions asked. Refunds are issued through Polar to your original payment method.

Your content

Your documents are yours. You give us only the permission needed to store, back up and show them to you (and to the API keys you create). You are responsible for what you store; don't use easymarkdown for anything illegal, to infringe someone else's rights, or to attack or overload the service or its API.

API keys

Keep your keys secret. Anyone with a key can do what its abilities allow until it expires or you revoke it in Settings.

Availability and liability

We work to keep easymarkdown available and your data safe, with nightly backups, but the service is provided "as is", without warranties. To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before it.

Ending the service

You can stop using easymarkdown at any time. We may suspend accounts that break these terms. If we ever shut the service down, we'll give you at least 30 days' notice to export your documents.

Changes

We'll email you before material changes to these terms take effect.
